Skyle Labs is my independent creative practice — a space where curiosity and strategy collide. Born from the fusion of “Sky” and “Kyle,” the brand reflects exploration without limits and a design philosophy grounded in purpose, clarity, and impact. The identity system was built to express who I am as a creative: experimental, intentional, and always in progress.
The Challenge
I needed a personal brand that could truly represent me — not just as a designer, but as a strategist, thinker, and creative leader. It had to be flexible enough to evolve with my work, distinct enough to be remembered, and honest enough to capture how I approach design: with curiosity, intention, and a drive for social good.
The Approach
The direction for Skyle Labs centered on two themes: experimentation and purpose. I designed the system as a “creative lab,” where ideas are tested, refined, and pushed beyond the expected. The visual identity leans into simple forms, clean structure, and a playful edge — elements that reflect both strategic thinking and curiosity-driven exploration. Every detail was crafted to communicate clarity while leaving room for experimentation.
Brand Identity System
Logomark
The logo features a minimal lab flask, symbolizing experimentation. Inside it sits a star-like monogram formed by the letters of my name K, Y, L, E — to ground the brand in my personal identity and intention.
Typography
The brand uses Tommy Soft, chosen for its balance of structure and personality, clean enough for strategy, while being friendly enough for experimentation.
Color Palette
A palette built around Skyle Blue and grounded by deep navy, supported by warm yellow and mintly matcha-inspired green, yes I like matcha!. These colors represent clarity, optimism, freshness, and curiosity — consistent with my creative style.
Iconography & System
Icons follow the same weight and geometry as the logomark, designed within a strict grid for clarity. Everything aligns to the idea of structure meeting play.
Motion & Behaviors
Micro-interactions and animations emphasize Skyle Labs’ identity as an active, evolving creative space. Movements feel experimental but intentional, nothing is random, everything has purpose.
Outcome
The final brand presence is flexible, confident, and deeply personal. Skyle Labs now serves as a visual and strategic foundation for all my future work — a clear representation of who I am as a designer, a strategist, and a purpose-driven creative.
Skyle Labs to me is more than a name. It’s my creative philosophy, distilled into a design system.
